Exciting Updates

Whats up friends! Some very exciting things are happening in the world of Amy Paffrath and I have to share the good news. First, I have a fabulous new team of agents working for me. They are Max Stubblefield and Hayley Lozitsky from United Talent Agency. I am beyond thrilled to be part of their star studded roster. I feel that I know how my super team built and this will only help catapult my career to the next level.

I have some more exciting news! I have a fabulous assignment coming up for E! News. They are sending me on a Cruise to the Bahamas to interview the New Kids on the Block! I am so stoked and shocked that I get to do this shoot. It's going to be a wild ride. I will be sure to post pics, video and a blog about my experience. If you would've told me in 1st grade when I was an NKOTB mega fan, that I'd be hanging out with them in the Bahamas for 4 days reporting for E! News, I'd have thought you were a crazy person. But it's happening and I'm ecstatic.

The last bit of news is about some projects I am working on. I am currently shooting 3 web shows. One is called 20 Somethin', I play Allie, a sweet guys girl who works at the bar where the guys hang out.

Another is called Avenue, I play Nikki, the spoiled rich girl who stirs up trouble, has boyfriend issues and is bit of a bratty drama queen. I play such polar opposites in these two shows, it keeps things fresh and interesting.

These photos are from the Avenue shoot this past weekend.

Lastly, I am psyched to have a cameo as a vampirette in I Kissed a Vampire. Its a rock opera starring Drew Seeley and Lucas Grabeel. Its going to be majorly awesome.
I will be sure to keep you posted on all these projects and how you can see them.

Until next time, MUAH!

How I Met Tenedra from Scream Queens

Happy St. Paddy's day everyone!
I've had a coupla TV appearance last week, the latest was my set visit with the cast of How I Met Your Mother.  Watch the clip that aired on E! News right here:

I'll have up video from my interview with Taylor Hicks very soon as well as my appearance on Headline News Prime News.

Before I leave you a fun story only in Hollywood! da da da da da da da Hollywood!  Man, I love living in this city.  Not only is it sunny nearly every day, brimming with talent and opportunities, but you just never know who you'll meet from day to day.  Last week I had the extreme pleasure of running into the winner of VH1's Scream Queens, Tenedra. I must admit I was an avid watcher.  Great television people.  These were girls duking it out for their break into acting, getting weekly coaching, doing stunts, living in a house with other dramatic ladies, it was rivoting.  Well as luck should have it, I was dining at my favorite wing joint, Hooters (yes I really like their wings.)
Whadaya know that our waitress for the evening was none other than the scream queen herself.  The others at my table told me not to say anything as they thought she would be embarrassed.  But from my own personal experience, people rarely get embarrassed when recognized for their talent.   So I simply told her I think she's a great actress.  True statement, she really is a talented actress.  Living up to my expectations, she smiled largely and was very grateful by the complement.  She told me all about being on the show.  It sounded fun and horrendous all at once.  Before we headed out to catch that nights taping of the Soup with the amazing Joel McHale, I snapped a pic with the star of the upcoming Saw VI.   Break  leg Tenedra!  You'll be fantastic!

Flexing my acting muscle

Hey there all you fabulous people! I hope you are having a great, day, week, month. Mine's been a little bumpy but not to worry! All is well and that is just life. You gotta have the bad to appreciate the good. Just to keep you up to speed on all things Amy Paffrath, I've begun taking a new acting class and I absolutely love it. His name is Stephen Snyder, he is fantastic. I'm learning and growing so much. I've also been auditioning as much as I can which has been great. I'm one of those crazy people who just loves to audition. I find it exhilarating to go in and wow (or disappoint) and brand new group of people. Every time you walk through a casting door a brand new opportunity awaits. It could be life changing even. I auditioned for a web series yesterday and met some amazing women. Its rare to sit in the waiting room with your competition and actually make friends, but yesterday was one of those days. Everyone was so nice and gorgeous and impeccably dressed (its a show about a fashion designer). So hooray to my fellow fabulous actresses. Even more strange than girls actually being kind to each other, was finding the lovely lady sitting next to me was a fan! It was really cool. Her name is Lira Kellerman and she was wearing some awesome liquid leggings and has this wild curly hair. We were just casually chatting, making jokes and having fun, when she said, "wait, what's your last name?" And it all sunk it that she'd seen me before! I was kinda having a bad morning and she totally changed it for me. She was so sweet and told me that she studied what I do on E! News Now because she thinks I'm great and she had an audition for a hosting gig. I'm so happy I can pass along some knowledge to a fellow actor. The most entertaining part to me was when she said "You're famous! Why are you even here? Don't they know who you are!?," that really made me giggle. I'm extremely flattered to hear that she was inspired by what I do. Read her take on the meeting here: http://thestrugglingactress.blogspot.com/ She is a fantastic write and I'm guessing a fabulous actress as well.

In other audition news, I went in for a Marshalls commercial today which was exciting because I am a die hard fan of the designer outlet store. It rocks my world. Mama took us there when we were youngins and it's still one of my faves. I love a good bargain hunt! I ran into the fabulous Candice Patton there looking lovely as usual. You might know her from one of my guilty pleasures Sorority Forever or that sweet Mc Donald's commercial or even E! News Now. She's a dynamo that one and I expect huge things from her. Amazingly sweet and down to earth. The audition went great and now we wait!
Speaking of fashion, I'm going to launch a new blog about all things clothes and accessories! I will have more info soon :-)
As usual, you all rock! Thanks so much the letters and emails. I really really appreciate it and I read and respond to every one. MUAH!
